During practices, equipments were selected to be used in the future...
Rabat, 28 feb (EFE).-a group of ten astronauts and technicians, mostly Austrians, has simulated for a month, a travel and exploration in real-time to Mars, an experiment carried out at the foot of the dunes of the Moroccan desert of Merzouga, in the southeast of the country.
This mission, which began in early February and ends today, has tried to imitate as far as possible it would be a human exploration of the red planet's surface.
The crew, composed by five astronauts - who received a prior physical and psychological training - as well as a telecommunications technician, a doctor and several specialized mechanics, has remained isolated during this time in an area of 8 x 8 kilometers, which has been cordoned off by the Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie throughout the experiment.
During the experiment, the team of volunteers mounted an artificial camp within which alternate their conventional clothes with space uniforms which used to operate a robotic vehicle developed specifically to respond to the pressure conditions in the fourth planet of the Solar System.
The amazing was when enters the dunes could meet one of our machines... Would they be preparing the landing on Mars with Maquinaria Lorenzana equipments?
